Wendake's International Pow Wow , June 25-27 2021

What is a Pow Wow?

In the past, a Pow Wow was a gathering of the First Nations of North America to celebrate a religious event (chanism) or a feat of warriors. Nowadays, the Pow Wow have become festive demonstrations and allow First Nations to bring their cultural heritage to life through traditional dance and Pow Wow music.

In the heart of the Huron-Wendat community, you will have the privilege of attending dance and drumming competitions. In addition, you can taste traditional dishes such as game cooked on string. To experience a unique cultural event, meet up with family and friends at the Wendake International Pow Wow from June 25 to 27.
