At HVQ we want you to feel "at home away from home", which is why we continue to warmly welcome you and offer you attentive service at all times. We continuously monitor and follow changes in government recommendations and guidelines.  In order to keep you safe and help your peace of mind we have put in place the following preventive measures against Covid-19:

 

Prevention

  • As indicated in the COVID-19 Health Security Plan for the Tourist Industry, we ask our customers not to present themselves if they experience any of the symptoms of Covid-19 (onset or worsening of a cough, fever, difficulty breathing, sudden loss of smell without nasal congestion (with or without loss of taste) general symptom (muscle pain, headache, intense tiredness or loss of appetite, sore throat or diarrhea) or they have been in contact with an infected person in the past 14 days
  • Beginning July 18, 2020 wearing a mask in a publicly occupied indoor space becomes mandatory in the province. We ask all our customers to comply with the law established by the government of Quebec, otherwise access to the establishment will be refused
  • Disinfectant solution distributors have been installed in strategic places throughout the hotel
  • We have installed ULPA filters with UVC lighting in strategic places of the hotel
  • Our employees are made aware and trained to comply with hygiene regulations: frequent hand washing, mask wearing, and gloves when the situation is suitable, compliance with social distancing standards, etc.
  • As the situation changes constantly and rapidly, we process each cancellation request individually, as the case may be. We invite you to contact us if you have to cancel a stay after the cancellation deadline without pre-established fees

Check-in

  • Hand sanitizer is provided upon arrival
  • Signage and markers are promoting physical distancing
  • Adjustments to front desk to promote physical distancing (i.e. plexiglass partitions, extra desks where needed, etc.)
  • Shift to low- or no-touch payment where possible
  • Guestroom keys are disinfected

Public spaces

  • Hand sanitizer stations in key areas throughout hotel
  • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting with EPA-registered chemicals, proven effective in preventing the transmission of COVID-19, with special attention to high-touch points
  • Lobby seating area rearranged to facilitate physical distancing
  • Signage and markers communicating physical distancing protocols in public spaces

Elevator

  • Signage to indicate maximum occupancy to promote physical distancing
  • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting with EPA-registered chemicals, proven effective in preventing the transmission of COVID-19
  • The elevator buttons are sanitized regularly, we encourage you to take the stairs if you can

Public washroom

  • Antibacterial soap year-round
  • High-touch disinfecting every hour with EPA-registered chemicals, proven effective in preventing the transmission of COVID-19

Guests rooms

  • Tea / coffee maker are disinfected between each use
  • In order to maximize the disinfection steps, we have refurbished the rooms and removed: decorative cushions, pencils and notebooks, soap bar, shower cap. All of these items are available on request.
  • Guest requests carried out in a thoughtful manner with guests’ safety in mind
  • Our room attendants clean a maximum of 10 rooms per day (compared to 14-18 rooms usually requested in the industry). This gives them time to properly clean and disinfect the premises.
  • TV remotes are disinfected between each stays

Housekeeping

  • Personal Protective Equipment worn by all room attendants when needed and changed frequently
  • Enhanced focus on disinfection of all guest room touchpoints, plus continuation of extensive training and auditing
  • Continued use of EPA-registered disinfecting chemicals, proven effective in preventing the transmission of COVID-19

Fitness

  • Fitness room is accessible upon reservation only, that allows us to disinfect the space after each use
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers and disinfecting wipes available throughout facility
  • Cleaning and disinfecting with EPA-registered chemicals, proven effective in preventing the transmission of COVID-19

Check-out

  • Contactless checkout via email, text message, telephone
  • Keys may be left in room or in checkout box in the lobby, to be disinfected
  • We send invoices by email. Guests can, at any time, ask to view it on one of our screens before proceeding to payment

The wearing of the mask in closed places is compulsory from July 18, 2020. We ask all our customers to comply with the law established by the government of Quebec, otherwise access to the establishment will be refused
